Did you know that we women need peace of mind so that our creative nature can express itself freely and we can enjoy ourselves more? In the following, I will tell you the story of my chattering mind and how I trained it so that I rule it and not it with me.
But before I go, I will explain why we all have 3 MINDS and what are the functions of each of them:
➕ Positive mind – perceives opportunities in every situation in which he finds himself (we can also call him an eternal optimist who sees everything through rose-colored glasses)
➖ Negative mind – warns you and protects you because it sees potential danger in every situation (no matter what we start to do, it always analyzes and finds excuses, obstacles and problems, sometimes completely justified, sometimes exaggerated)
Neutral Mind – collects information from the positive and negative mind and rises above them as an observer because it needs clarity to provide us with answers that are for our highest good.
I remember September 2018 well. I was at a Kundalini yoga teacher training and there I heard the term neutral mind for the first time. The name itself says a lot about him. He is neutral, does not take sides, does not divide, does not criticize, does not fantasize. He accepts everything as it is, without wanting to change anything.
All my life I lived in a rational mind (positive and negative mind), a mind that did not give me peace, I would spend kilowatts of energy analyzing, thinking, criticizing and fantasizing both myself and others. Today I call it by its real name “analysis paralysis” and “overthinking” because overthinking would block me. It would be difficult for her to make decisions because she would hesitate: “Is this option better for me or maybe this other one?”
At the teacher training, while we were learning the theory of the neutral mind, I thought to myself: “when I put it into practice, there is no way it will calm my mind after so many years of unrest.”
On the outside, I looked calm and the people around me could not notice what virtual battles I was fighting in my head. For a long time, I suppressed all this restlessness inside me.
However, to my joy, a MIRACLE happened!
In the training, we began to apply breathing techniques, focused attention and meditation with a mantra to connect with the neutral mind. Every day they would leave me speechless but more importantly without too many thoughts!
Practice has proven to me that even the chattiest mind can be trained with quality and proven techniques.
After completing the teacher training, I realized that my change of profession made real sense. She changed my life for the better, but more importantly, she enabled me to provide support and work with women today to live better, more fulfilling and relaxed lives. It does not mean that a neutral mind will completely stop any of us from thinking and meeting challenges, but we can learn experientially and practically how to calm the mind and “smartly” overcome challenges, draw important insights and lessons without losing ourselves. That unforeseen situations and difficult events do not leave a mark on our psycho-physical health.
That is why I will list 5 important benefits that I feel since I regularly activate the neutral mind through kundalini yoga breathing techniques and meditation:
- inner peace
- I gained clarity and see the bigger picture
- I strengthened my intuition
- I make decisions more easily and “wiser” because I clearly hear the messages of my soul (what is best for me and my growth)
- I feel a stability that supports my feminine nature which is extremely changeable, creative, intuitive and emotional
These 5 benefits are important for every woman to feel good in her own body because they are a sign of her strong nervous system.
👉 Taught by this experience, I promised myself that I would no longer conclude in advance that something will not help me until I try it myself in practice.
In a world that moves at breakneck speed, it’s easy to lose sight of the importance of inner peace. So take some time each day to connect with your inner self, as this can have a profound impact on your overall satisfaction and quality of life. You may be surprised at how much better you will feel and how positively it will affect your environment.
